Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Book Signing

Kentucky Experience Pavilion.

The Kentucky Arts Council has invited me to do a book signing during the World Equestrian Games. This is such an honor for me! They plan to feature various authors (book signings), artist, & musicians (Demonstrating art & music) from across Kentucky.

The proceeds from any cookbooks sold will go to the Kentucky Arts Council. I think God is creating so many wonderful opportunities for the cookbooks and for me!

More about the Games: The World Equestrian Games are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports. The Games are held every four years, two years prior to the Olympic Games, and are governed by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).
This is the first time they have been held outside of Europe.

I also have 2 other book signings scheduled the next couple of weeks.

The 2010 Games will be held October 2, 2010. Please join us for a celebration of Scottish-Celtic heritage featuring all things Scottish such as: bagpipe bands, music, amateur athletic competition including: caber-tossing, sheath toss, weighted throws, stone throws, etc., Clan tents, Scottish entertainers, genealogy tent, Scottish vendors, highland cattle, shepherding and MUCH MORE! There are events the whole family will enjoy!

ALL ABOUT GOURDS


There are 2 Book signings on my schedule this Saturday. Mayfield Gourd Patch Festival and Hanson, KY Fall Gathering

All About Gourds 2010
Book Signing 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Artistry has become the hallmark of the Mayfield/Graves County Art Guild’s annual All About Gourds exhibition; and the 2010 show, which is on display at the Ice House Gallery until October 8th, continues the tradition. In its 9th year, the international show features 40 indredible gourd creations from all across the U.S. as well as international artist. This festival also includes arts & craft vendors, food booths, music, and a Gourd Derby Race. Proceeds from the book signing will go to the Ice House Gallery.

Hanson, KY Fall Gathering
Book Signing 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Fall Gathering features everything fall! A Hanson Harvest Market sets up in the Fall to provide color and supplies for our shoppers. Working on the Tried & True Honor System, buyers just pay at any of the shops if no one is there to take their money. Businesses host open houses and there is music and activities for the kids. Bring the entire family and kick off the prettiest season of the year! Proceeds from the book signing will go to the local arts council.

St. John’s Parrish Picnic gets bigger each year, so that it came to be called "The Biggest Little Picnic in Western Kentucky." It is now held the first Saturday after Labor Day, and the proceeds are totally dedicated to St. John and St. Mary parochial schools of the parish.
Barbecued ribs, chicken, pork, and mutton are served, along with hot dogs, drinks and popcorn, funnel cakes, ice cream. Games include bingo, bottle toss, cake wheel, can throw, coin toss, free throw, and ping-pong.
Politicians are always on hand to give speeches, and this year includes Jack Conway. Rand Paul (candidate for U.S. Senate), Rep. Ed Whitfield, Governor Steve Beshear all of whom I have recipes.
