ARTIST LANETTE FREITAG FROM LANMARK FARMS

GRAY STOLE MADE
FROM SHEEP WOOL
I am doing a couple of blogs on contributors to the Kentucky cookbook “Favorite Recipes of Kentucky Celebrities,” who also participating in The Kentucky Crafted Market. One of the contributors is artist Lanette Freitag from LanMark Farm located in Sharpsburg, KY

About the farm:

The farm is a working sheep and cattle farm that has been supporting families since 1824. The land and buildings have been loved and cared for by many generations and the love of the land has always been deep rooted.
Today's innovations will continue to create a sustainable agriculture future for the farm.
The products are made with a newly patented feltloom developed by artist and farm owner Lanette Freitag. To view the FeltLoom visit their website www.feltloom.com. The fibers that are shorn from their different breeds of sheep and llamas continue to play a large part of the feltloom. Lanette also works with other Kentucky farmers using their wool that meets the high standards set for usage. LanMark Farm is also home to Kentucky Wool Society
