We are thrilled to be one of the authors invited to participate in this event.
The Southern Kentucky Book Fest is the state's largest literary event and is presented by WKU Libraries, Warren County Public Library, and Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Held annually during National Library Week, the Book Fest draws thousands of readers of all ages who welcome the occasion to meet their favorite authors.
The 2010 SOKY Book Fest will be their 12th and is a fundraiser for the promotion of literacy in our community. The Book Fest was recently named one of Kentucky's Top 10 Events and attracts people from several surrounding states.
I have not received information on my booth number, so just look for the cookbook section or
PAMELA WHINNERY
Favorite Recipes of Kentucky Celebrities
Book Description:
What do Hannah Montana, Fess Parker, Bill Monroe, and Robert Penn Warren have in common? They all contributed recipes to “Favorite Recipes of Kentucky Celebrities”
In the spirit of Kentucky neighborliness, you are invited to take a lighthearted peek into the personal recipe files of celebrities from all across the state of Kentucky as well as those who have strong ties to the Bluegrass State.
The cookbook has over 300 recipes from local and national personalities, highly visible Kentucky businesses, artist, writers, athletes, sportsmen, actors, musicians, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, notable events and places. In addition, there are brief notes with each recipe on the contributor.
Author Biography:
Kentucky native Pamela Whinnery, who put the cookbook together, said she did not think of herself as an author. She felt the real authors were all of the wonderful individuals who took time from their busy schedules to graciously share their favorite recipes. She believes they were willing to do this as they knew the cookbook & each recipe is to be a gift to be shared as a fundraiser for Non-Profit Organizations all across Kentucky. She is presently working on 2 other cookbooks: a second Kentucky cookbook and one with Tennessee celebrity recipes.
